A handy care guide to keep your wooden piece looking great

Fixing Kit

Our Peninsula collection is super easy to install on interior and exterior walls. Each wall type requires a slightly different fixing. We recommend contacting a professional if you're unsure.

Fixing Kit - If you selected the screw fixing option, you will receive a pack containing: 2 x 4mm SPAX stainless steel screws (made in Europe) and 2 x solid oak mushroom screw covers (Timber supplier is FSC/PEFC certified)

(The screws included in this kit are perfect for fastening to wood. For stone, masonry or plasterboard walls you may require plugs and/or other specialist fixings. Contact a profession if you're unsure!)

Fixing Guide

Step 1 Locate the pre-drilled holes in the sign and turn the screws through until the tip of the screw emerges from the back side of the piece by 2-3mm

Step 2 Hold the sign up to the surface as you'd like it to be displayed, then push the against the sign gently. The tips of the screws should leave small marks

Step 3 Use those small marks to drill a pilot hole into the surface

Step 4 Hold your sign securely over the holes, line the screw tips up with your drilled holes and screw your sign securely into place

Step 5 Gently push the mushroom caps into the recess on top of the screws until flush with the surface. Ta-da, you're all set!

Always make sure to read the instructions and safety labels before attempting install. If you're unsure, please contact a professional .

Taking care of your piece

Taking regular care of your item can extend its lifespan. We recommend using Danish Oil for exterior signs and food-safe wood oil for your serving boards. For best results, re-oil every 6 to 12 months:

Step 1 Clean and lightly sand your piece with fine-grit sandpaper (320 grit). After sanding, wipe down to remove any dust.

Step 2 Apply the oil using a lint-free cloth, working along the grain of the wood. Allow it to soak in for 15 to 20 minutes, then wipe away any excess.

Always make sure to read the instructions and safety labels on your specific oil before use.
